Our commitment
100% local
An estate rooted in its local area
At Les Hauts de Sénanque, we have chosen to work with people from the local community. Our concierge, our housekeeping team, our gardener, our pool maintenance technician, our plumber, our electrician all come from surrounding villages, as well as numerous chefs & caterers, shopkeepers, bakers, and producers from Venasque, Gordes, and around.
They all help bring the estate to life every day.
We prioritize local businesses whenever possible, as we are convinced that tourism should benefit the region that hosts it. Staying at Les Hauts de Sénanque means supporting the local economy and helping to preserve traditional Provençal craftsmanship.

100% renewable

A legacy of self-sufficiency
The very existence of this fortified farm, dating back to the Middle Ages, is inextricably linked to its surroundings.
It was a haven offering water, bread, and warmth: a well fed by an underground river originating from the Fontaine de Vaucluse; an oven for baking bread made from on-site grain crops; and surrounding forests providing the wood needed for heating.
Today, this tradition of self-sufficiency lives on. Wood pellets have replaced logs, the old wind turbine has given way to a large-scale solar installation, and a generator kicks in only occasionally when needed.
Together, these systems make the estate energy-independent, powered entirely by renewable energy.
